Following the ban of the popular mobile game PUBG in India, another Indian alternative to the famous game FAU:G was recently announced by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. Although the actor didn’t reveal the details regarding the upcoming game, it seems like now we have a few details related to the upcoming game’s arrival.
As reported by Reuters, FAU:G or the Fearless and United: Guards is expected to be launched by the end of October. Additionally, Vishal Gondal, CEO of GOQii, who is also the Co-founder of the upcoming app has suggested that the game was under development for a few months, and it is being developed by nCore Games under the mentorship of popular Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.
It has also been reported that the first phase of the upcoming game FAU:G will be based on Galwan Valley, where the Indian and Chinese forces had a scuffle recently, which eventually led to the banning of more than 100 Chinese apps including TikTok, PubG, CamScanner, WeChat, Mi Browser, and others in India.
Currently, FAU:G is expected to be a multiplayer game and it also might consist of multiple maps just like any other battle royale game. The upcoming game is being developed by keeping PM Modi’s “Vocal for Local” in mind. So, it remains to be seen how the game performs when it comes to gameplay and popularity.
On the other hand, Indian players can still play the popular game on their phones. But, it will be playable only till the Indian game servers are shut down by the developer of the game, Tencent. The timeline of this hasn’t been revealed yet and the game developer company Tencent says it is in talks with the government in order to fix things. However, after the ban, many players have already moved to other games like Call of Duty: Mobile, and due to an increase of bot players, players are not having the same fun as before, which is also leading to the decline of the game’s popularity even further.
